Medical Marijuana Certification Clinic - Michigan Medical Marihuana Program
In Michigan, where MMMP is based, the Michigan Medical Marihuana Program (MMMP) allows registered patients to use marijuana for many conditions including chronic pain. Patients may grow their own medicine, or get another person to grow for them. They may also designate someone over 18, called a caregiver, to help manage their supply of medicine.
At HMN Certification Center clinic we help patients with a diagnosed medical condition, which qualifies under the Michigan Medical Marihuana Program, to register with the Program.
At HMN Certification Center:
Patients get assistance gathering needed medical records.
Patients meet with a doctor, who reviews the medical records and performs a physical examination.
When the medical records are in order, and the doctor agrees that Cannabis might help, the doctor will sign the patient's application to enter the program.
Patients will also meet with staff, who will provide information from the MMMP regarding the law, and explain harm reduction in the use of cannabis, including alternatives to smoking and how cannabis may interact with other medicines.
